Nothingness is Everything.
(This is for Windows XP)

hey i dunno what its all about but all of a sudden when i booted one day i got this error:

The system has recovered from a serious error.

then the whole 'send error report thing' and if i click dont send or even if i click send it just immediately comes back...this is the contents of the error report:

BCCode : 100000ea BCP1 : 8232E970 BCP2 : 8233A350 BCP3 : 820031B0
BCP4 : 00000001 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 0_0 Product : 256_1

it really isnt cluing me in to what it could be, and it happened rather suddenly and i hadnt installed any new drivers or anything.

Help = appreciated.
thnx

You might want to check the "Event Viewer" log under Programs | Administrative Tools | Event Viewer | Application Log/System Log, and look for any critical error messages. Right-click the error message and select "Properties" (this will give you a more detailed description of the error in question).;)

hmm. finally got to it today and it didn't seem to help much. The details were just as vague as the error message and i couldnt find an explaination of the error code anywhere. The error still pops up every time i boot though...:(

The only way to get rid of it is to do the ghetto thing and hide it under the taskbar. While this works with no noticable performance drop, I like to keep my box clean, stable, and error free. Any input would be good.

Thanks guys.

I doubt anyone here can read the dreaded Microsoft error codes. What all those numbers mean is that they want you to call them and spend all you money so you can get it fixed.
I'd reformat if I were you.

Yeah that was the plan, I guess. Just glad I Keep my OS partition separate from the rest of my files. Didn't figure anyone would figure this out since it is the traditional cryptic Microsoftese. Well I'll do that tonight then. Thanks anyways.

HAH! I decoded it, it says "Please call Microsoft and give us all your money or your computer hardware will be destroyed and you will be assinated by our hit-men."
also if you play it backwards dubed into the music of Rearranged by Limp Bizkit it says, "I am the anti-christ, pledge you allegence with me or face certain doom."
