I've said it before C/D but they sure are similar to the Fx 8/9xxx chips when it comes to the heat!
Sort of...
The AMD chips are putting out a lot more heat/energy than the Intel. It's 84w chips vs 125w.

Just a question, because the VRM is on the die say the cpu is putting out 84w of heat the VRM is adding to that correct?

it sure looks that way mandrake.
I can pump all the airflow over the heatsinks i want and none of the temps will fall.
