Oh I'll clean out my computer that way....but I only buy natural hair brushes, never ever the black nylon ones. Can't stand the things. :D

Obviously there is a wide spectrum of levels of "precautions" we can take when working on our machines. I have seen everything from one end to another. I saw a man at a computer repair shop taking PCB's (motherboards, vid cards) and BRUSHING the dust off of them with a paint brush. Now THAT's stupid.

Guess he's never heard of an air compressor?

You dont really need them..

touch the powersupply while it is plugged in = grounded out

and just don't work on carpet.

I have built i don't know HOW many systems in the last 15 years and not once have i used an anti-static bracelet..

Many air compressors should not be used because they do not blow out clean air and have small particles in them which in turn can create static electricity :)

On that note i have used them myself but leaving the PSU plugged in.
