How is this ram for benching?

They would be MUCH better.
They'll be great for SuperPi.
 
Is it okay to use RAM needing more than 1.5v (that kit is 1.6v) and new IMC CPUs? I didn't think the newer Intel CPUs liked more than 1.5v. I'd be glad to be proven wrong though.
 
Haswell likes everything up to 2V+ :) ... didn't try 24/7 but for benching it's fine. In this case I would worry more about memory as not all of them like 1.85V+.
 
Then you have up to 2.4V on this board :D ... but really this G.Skill memory is PSC which likes up to about 1.8-1.85V on air. Some are scalling higher, some not. You should be able to make at least 2400 clock on them. Most are going higher.

The guy selling them is a hardcore overclocker/bencher.
But he claims these sticks have run on an X58 board - 6-8-6-24 at about 900Mhz.
 
X58 had some clock limits. PSC were usually making up to 1000-1050MHz CL6/7. 1000+ was hard to stabilize on some weaker IMC. Most common PSC kits were 1600 6-8-6/7-8-7, 2000 9-9-9, 8-9-8,7-9-7. 6-9-6. All depends from batch etc. Highest binned PSC were in 2400/2500 8-11-8/9-11-9 kits.

Here are results on Corsair Dominator 2000 8-9-8. Not best PSC but you can try some settings:
