5930k and 5960x - 8 cores?

I have been seeing news articles and forums posts stating that the 5930k will feature a 8 core version.
I am wondering if this is true as the intel site seems to say it has 6 cores.

I guess its possible that there maybe 2 different types but it could also be a typo.

Only the 5960 is 8 cores...And Intel makes you pay a premium price for it. The 5930 is 6 cores, 3.5 Ghz, 40 pcie lanes and 15 MB L3 Cache and about half the price of the 5960.
