Hello all, im sure you guys will help me as most of you oc people do:)

So i dont know whats the problem ram or motherboard, so ill post here my question. I yesterday installed new motherboard Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 and these two RAM sticks, installed all motherboard drivers and so, but when i get in to bios it was showing that i have ram sticks with 1333 or something at 1.5v, so i tought ill give it a try and raise a bit, so i raised to 1.6v and got 1600hz. Anyways i know 0 about OC and dont want to experiment any more (one time is a luck lol)

So how can it be, that my RAM sticks are 2133hz, but when installed, it looses so much.

this one if from easy tune, hz there is even lower. Is there any way to print screen bios or only by photography, so i can show you whats going on there...

So can anyone please help me, to get better speed as this motherboard should support these sticks.....

I installed em 2-4, not 1-3 slots

Hope anyones familiar with this motherboards bios and knows/can help me with step by step.

Thank you very much in advance.

Default speed ( SPD settings ) for this memory is 1333 9-9-9 1.50V. To make it work at 2133 you have to use XMP profile. Check memory settings and change it from Auto to XMP. If you don't have XMP profile then check manual settings and set something like 1866 9-11-9-28 1.50V or 10-11-10-28 1.50V. Also set tRFC to 300 and command rate to 2N.

I said 1866 clock as at this speed it should run without raising additional voltages. To make it work at 2133 you may need to set CPU-NB voltage to 1.3V+ but it's still not guaranteed it will work stable on AMD FX platform.

I don't have AMD FX right now but maybe other forum members will give you some additional tips.

Ok, looks like its all thanks to my old cpu, as i need am3+ processor to get 1866+(its from gigabyte manual) I have phenom II x4 965 BE, anyways that OC stuff is very temting, but as i really know a big zero about it i better wont try it on my only system lol

Thank you for help anyways!
