In the old days I was always told to get a CRT that had a pixel pitch <= 0.25mm (my present 21" CRT is 0.21mm) , but I'm noticing 24" LCD's (1920 x 1200) have pixel pitches of 0.27mm or greater. Is this irrelevant? Or would it tend to make images blurrier on such an LCD?

I had to check the date to make sure this wasn't a post that got bumped or a trip through the time machine occurred.

You can't compare a CRT's aperture grill pitch to a LCD's dot pitch, at least not as a direct comparison. Wikipedia will tell you what each is, if that's what you want. Generally, any LCD with a dot pitch .28mm or lower should be ok.

I did a quick search for a new ultra HD (4k) monitor that has a .182 pixel pitch. The LCD monitor I'm using right now has a .258, but is quite old. These days, the rage is all about response time, which I wouldn't get hung up about as pretty much every monitor is below 20ms now.
