Hi, I have a Gigabyte Gaming z97 motherboard. It comes with a Killer Network port. Would it be worth it to buy a pcie Intel Network adapter. I read that the Killer adapter uses a lot of CPU processing. Thanks.

Which board exactly? Some of the Gigabyte Gaming boards have dual LAN.

ATMINSIDE,

Thanks for the advice. I'll stick with the on board Killer Ethernet port.

I've read on other forums that the killer NICs can cause network bluescreens so I'd personally grab an intel card if possible myself. I haven't used any of the killer NICs directly so I can't verify that but I've read it at a few different places. At any rate you may want to see if you can get drivers for the killer NIC directly from qualcomm-atheros instead of the OEM as they'll probably be more stable.
