i like the layout here! nice looking.

i have a this cabinet: RVZ01
http://www.silverstonetek.com/raven/products/index.php?model=RVZ01

and i bought a: SST-NT06-Pro
http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=368

but it was a little to big for the cabinet to fit properly,
and since it needs to be silent, the stock cooler just won't cut it.

so i've been looking at some water cooling,
which i never used before, and since the cabinet is somewhat small,
i thought a AIO might do the trick here.
btw. i'm running on socket 1150.

for the CPU., i've looked at this: HYDRO SERIES H80i
http://www.corsair.com/en/hydro-series-h80i-high-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler

any thoughts on this?
eg. i can see here that the H55 is supposed to be more silent?
http://www.corsair.com/se-fi/cpu-coolers

i'm going to use a asus 270x graphics card,
would a cooler on this help, if i think it is too loud?

i'm thinking a Corsair Hydro Series H55 with a Kraken G10
or maybe a: ARCTIC Accelero Hybrid II-120

i'm not planning extreme oc. just a little, maybe getting to cpu to 4,5
only maybe!..
and only minimum on the gpu, if any.

:welcome: to OCFs.

Not sure if I would venture to the AIOs or any custom water cooling with that case. I'd stick with the air cooler provided on the GPU and look for a CPU cooler that will fit in that case.

I only see one 120mm fan housing on the case so even say if you were to fit a AIO on one side, where would the other one fit? It looks like a cluster already in there as it is. Also the possibility of the components being in the way of the rad placements. I highly doubt it was designed to stick AIOs in there let alone custom water cooling unless you're a modding guru and you can work your magic on it with a res/pump/rad externally in its own housing.

hi thanks for your fine reply,
there are room for 3 120mm. fans 2 in the "bottom" and 1 in the "top"
there are a somewhat big Space for gfx Card so my thought was to place em' there
as an intake?

i can take some pic. if that would help?

i'm not looking for anything extreme, and i've already spend alot of Money on stuff
that doesn't fit, so thought that water would be ideal.
this is my first itx build and though the case is bigger than i expected, there isnt alot of room
for anything besides cables and gfx

is there really no one who can help me find some good cooling?
i'm sorry if my grammar is off, english isn't me native languages.

i've looked at H55 some says it should fit,
but then again, so should the SST-NT06-Pro
which didn't in my rig.

any info at all i can give so you better can help?

I highly doubt there's room for any AIO in that case. You even know with the GPU, PSU and MB/CPU installed, there's barely any room for a AIO let alone for a flat CPU air cooler that you purchased.

The only advise I can give you since I don't have any magic wands in store atm, would be to contact the case manufacturer and see what CPU coolers are compatible for that case.

hi, thanks Again!

so my only viable option is to dump my current cabinet and PSU.
and then find me a new one :(
thats sad cuz. i really liked this one.

I suddenly ran into this cooler. Looks shorter from your previous selection. See if you can get some measurements or how much clearance you have in there from a MB being installed to the other end.

Hope this helps. :salute:

thanks a lot GTXJackBauer, you're a great help!.

i took your first advise and contacted silverstone, got a fast reply,
but sadly they don't sell those two they suggested in my country,
this: http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=505&area=en&pid=505
and the: SST-AR05

but yes, the Noctua NH-L9i looks like it could fit,
i'm gonna try and see what i can find about how it cools :)

anyway, i know Noctua makes some good fans,
they are my prefered brand, next to an old one, but that's another story.

After a lot of searching, i've decided to go with the NH-L9i
even though it ain't sutet for my processor,
"NH-L9i TDP 65w."
My cpu 88w.

but this is only a guideline, right?:
http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=nh_l9i_tdp_guidelines

if so, i'm planning to place a 120mm. noctua fan NF-P12-1300
right above the CPU and two more on the "backside" of the case,
all as intake, so i keep the designed airflow.
only downside is the color to the case, i normally don't mind
noctua color, but with the rvz01 case, they look more than terrible.

if the temps. allow it, i'll try and run a little OC.
but from the reviews on that cpu cooler, i don't expect anything.

does this sound as a good and variable solution?

on a side note, maybe this thread should be moved?
i'm thinking the context have deviated a lot from the original intent.

In my somewhat limited experience, the Intel box coolers are actually not bad acoustically as long as you're not running the system too hard and going for a big overclock. They do get noticeable under load, but so does pretty much any other color on the face of the planet that would fit inside that small desktop-style case. That case just isn't big enough for a big silent cooler, I'm sorry to say.

hi, i'm running around 55c idle and 65c under normal use with cpu fan at 80% plus the 3 case fans at 50-80%
i think that is a bit too high, if i remember correctly intel says max 75c with this cpu.
and in my case it makes way too much noise for my ears.

anyway i found the Silverstone Argon SST-AR06 i my country.
from the specifications, shouldn't this be better than the nh-l9i?
i know you can't rely completely on spec. but i can find any useful info on that cooler.

any thoughts on post #9 has still an interest.
