hi, this is a long story but i want a dirt cheap computer , not for myself,

i was thinking of making a pc myself for her, than i saw that im not a guy who will simply pick a bad psu and sleep at night ! :D so i was thinking, what's the best budget computer? if a laptop is a good choice than whats the cheapest one?(at same time good for budget)

300$ MAX budget
nothing special, no games or stuff! im still not quiet sure what she wants! she said she wants it for her kids(to learn or something?!) !

In that price range, you would almost get more bang for your buck at Dell/HP... etc. Consider that $100 is going to go towards windows... (unless you have a copy for that PC already). If you have a copy, then you are looking at a cheap AMD APU setup.

2x2GB DDR3 1600 ram
Case of your choice...

:) good , but only PSU available here is Green(and some unbranded or named tasco ect :D ), and i can only trust their high end range, btw how about a laptop? i already have a windows copy :)

im not sure if prebuilds are available here, but if they're i will get one :)

edit: couldn't find any on net ! the prebuilds are still custom PCs that some shops make :D

good :D becasue im thinking laptop has less pain !! can you recommend me any? im searching myself but i want to make sure im choosing the right one, i have been away from hardware for long :D

i found a few models, they seem good, didn't think i can get that spec with that price :D thanks a lot!

ED is right in that building your own machine won't get you very far on that budget.

Lenovo, Dell, HP, etc, frequently have cheap refurbished units that would be more than capable for you. You could also look into a cheap laptop (got my wife's ASUS i5, 6gb RAM, 1tb hdd, for <$300 refurbished) or even a chromebook for <$200. Alternatively, you could get something like

and swap out the included PSU with a CX430 for cheap.

Then again, I'm not sure what your options for shipping are in Iran. In any event, you'll get a better bang-for-your-buck buying OEM rather than building, in this case.

I dont have that options in my country! Although it's not for me :D

I couldn't find OEM,

But i can find used laptops! But i don't trust them here!

I guess in my country a laptop is the best way

:D chromebooks aren't available in my country as i know

Doesn't Amazon/Ebay/NCIX/Newegg/AliExpress/Scan/etc ship to your country?

Chromebook is really a good choice vs Windows. The whole machine costs just over $200 USD new, which is really cheap. It's just about impossible to get a virus or malware, and it's very easy to pick up and use for people who are computer illiterate.
