Thanks ATMINSIDE, I had been using Open Office for Linux, then was told that it was no longer free
and that Libre Office was the new freeware alternative. Libre Office reads my Open Office document and spreadsheet files so it's been just as good as my old version of Open Office (which pre-dates Apache's takeover).

Libre Office was a great option even before the Apache takeover.

Also, who told you Open Office isn't free? It's still a free open source program, per their website openoffice.org.

This was years ago, it could have even been I was recommended to use Libre Office on my
XP box instead of Open Office. At some point Libre Office was using the same code base as
Open Office.
