Help finding a empty Laptop shell

Hi All,

Just wanting to know where I can buy either a brand new OR second hand laptop shell (basically a laptop minus all the compenents inside).

Have tried ebay/amazon can't find anything (either that or I am not searching the right term).

Got an old acer aspire that works just the shell is busted up just need something to fit everything back into.

Search for barebones laptop. The casework and motherboard come as one... Then you choose what components to populate the machine with

chances are the only one that its going to fit in is one of the same exact brand / model. if you can find one on ebay with a broken screen or something.

Found a write up that lists brands acer isn't one of them so eBay or still bust

I was curious who did barebones laptops myself these days... been years since someone asked

1) can the current shell not be repaired? (got pics?)

2) shot in the dark to find a replacement case that has everything line up but you might get lucky at second hand shops, especially if the "old Acer Aspire" is old. If the system is a few generations behind the times and the battery is gone but it still works plugged into the wall a lot of people won't money up for replacement cells, they'll either toss it, let it collect dust in the attic or donate it. Unlikely you'd find just what you need but you never know.
