Is it possible to run both A AMD card and a Nvidia card in the same computer? The reason i ask is i have a Nvidia shield and my current rig has a AMD 7970 in it. I do have open pcie 16x slots and was just wondering if i got a Nvidia 650 if i could still stream to my shield but use the 7970 for when gaming from my desktop? Im guessing the answer is no. But i didnt know if there was a program or somthing that would let you change gpus if you wanted to or if the game stream would work even though the cards not hooked to a display?

Thanks all!

It's possible, but finicky.

I'd suggest selling the 7970 and using that money plus the money you would give for a 650 to grab a 970.

AMD and Nvidia? In the same box? That would result in constant conflict and
a computer divided against itself cannot compute.

That would be a schyzophrenic one, which sometimes work!

Ask our politicians!!!
