Rome Total War (Steam Version) Construction Queue not working

Hey!

I'm playing the Steam version of Rome total war and the queues work... but I can't see what's in them.

Say I have something that takes three turns in queue... it will show nothing on the second turn. But two turns later construction will be complete.

This is contrary to every strategy game I've ever played.

Is this normal?

As a "total War" player myself, it is *not* normal for the queues to be hidden. Unfortunately I can offer little else in the form of assistance. Is this Rome or Rome II?
