Hi All,
From your experience, when do you think is the best time to buy parts (CPU, Mobo, PSU, cases) in terms of getting deals/discounts:
1. Cyber Monday
2. Black Friday
3. In January/ post new year

Black Friday and around the holidays is the best time to find sales. If you're patient, and can wait, a lot of times manufacturers blow out old inventory when a new series of the components come out.

Another great tool to use is camelcamelcamel. It tracks pricing on Amazon, and you can set custom alerts when pricing reaches your desired levels. It also shows a history of pricing for the item, and can tell you when it was at it's lowest/highest. There's even a chrome plugin that makes it even easier to use.

All 3 are good times... the 'best'... heh, depends on what is on sale and what you need at the time. I would say be prepared on BF. If nothing on BF, wait until CM. If nothing CM, then its 1st of the year.

That was really insightful there..."Since BF is next...be prepared for that...then CM...then 1/1!"

You can find good deals other times of the years too, just gotta be on the lookout for sales and check places like fatwallet and slickdeals.
