HD7950/R280

So, I've been seeing a lot of stuff that says the R9-280 is just a rebranded HD7950.

I have an XFX 7950 currently that uses a reference PCB board.. If I buy a 280 that uses a reference PCB board as well, will my full coverage water block move to the 280? I guess what I'ma sking is, if the reference boards are the same for the two cards.

While I don't know the answer, I'd venture a guess that they would. When I was doing my build, the 7970 used the same block as the 280x in some cases. If no one else chimes in, your best bet is to email the guys over at EK, and I'm sure they can answer that without doubt.
