What would give the highest read/write speed in raid 0
6x 120gb 840 evo which each has a Sequential Read: 540MB/s and Sequential Write: 410MB/s
or
3x 250gb 840 evo which each has a Sequential Read: 540MB/s and Sequential Write: 520MB/s
and what would be the difference if I add a 120gb 840 evo the the 3x 250gb?

What's the rest of the system?
What's the intended usage of the system?

Im just in the process of choosing what parts to get but i think im going to go with
x99 deluxe or ASUS Maximus VII Formula motherboard
Any intel core I7 for around £300
And i have not decided on anything else.

I'm only going to use it for gaming and nothing else but i thought it would be cool to have ssd's in raid

Well "cool" translates to "more prone to failure"

Go get yourself a single 1TB 840 EVO and call it a day.
If you're feeling spendy, grab a 1TB 850 PRO.

You have zero need for RAID0, it's literally a waste of money for you.
Forget the e-peen, go for the more reliable (and cheaper) option.

You literally won't notice a difference between a single SSD and RAID0 SSDs.

Wouldn't the os and games load faster and if so what about if i use raid 10?

Wouldn't the os and games load faster?

No, they're more dependent upon the 4K Read speeds which are barely benefited by RAID0.

Imagine this, you've got a car with 800hp and the exact same car except with 810hp.
Can you really notice the difference? No.

ahh ok I will just get a 256gb pro and invest the rest of the money in the system.
You learn something new everyday here lol
