still deciding whether to go i5 or i7

my oc goals are at least 4.5ghz for either cpu

what I really need help on is picking out some RAM. last I picked out some ram was DDR days. any recommendations? what should I be looking for? i'm looking at least 8gb

I run a plex server but mostly game. I might someday take home some work in Revit and Autocad. work computer hits 9.6gb usage but I doubt I'll be doing that at home.

i'ld like to keep the RAM between 60-80$

after reading some guides on haswell oc and memory it looks like 2400 Mhz is easy to reach. is there any reason not to do this? do I need 2400(OC) rated ram? I'd rather hit 4.9 Ghz than oc the ram.

any "value" ram that has a good reputation for stability in their QCs?
