As is typical of the 2nd fastest card in the lineup, it can usually come close, match, or sometimes beat a stock(referencee) flagship card.

That said, why two in the first place? I run BF4 easily on 2560x1440 monitor... If you are at that res or lower, grab a single card and save some money.

well wehn black friday sale comes by ill get a monitor to reach that resolution but till then ill be in 1080 ...so you are saying the 970 should be good enough.

For 2560x1440/1600, I would go single 980. That said a 970 will play things fine at that res for a while. When it stops doing that, get another, would be my advice.

would a 750 power supply be ok as it is what i have now

Easily. The 970 uses around 150W at most (if overclocking to the power limit, around 180W each)... two of those is 300W/360W. Your CPU is 84W... the rest is maybe 100W... ;)

why does it say power supply requirements 550w and the 980 600w or is that what the cooling does

thnx everyone ill go with th gtx 970 just to save a few bucks and buy some hard drives and nice 1080p monitors since i am currently playing on a 40" tv 1080p monitors at 120hz

Missed that...thanks! My point remains the same though. A 750W PSU is fine. :)

Wait... you are all over the place I think... you plan on playing games across multiple monitors? I thought you just said single 2560x1440?
