I don't know how strong it is though, damn things needs a whole heaping of Cpu Nb V to run anything over 1866 on the ram at my 4.7 daily Oc.
Takes me 1.35v on the CPU/NB to do 1900 on the ram @ 2600 NB frequency. I can't do 2800+ at all, so you're doing better than I am. Nice chip.

Thanks, 1866+ and 2600+ is 1.35 Cpu Nb for daily Oc's, don't want anyone to know what I had it at for that run, Thanks Mr Scott!
It's a shame Johans Fx-8350 met an untimely demise, it was a heck of a clocker with sub ambient temps. I believe his Nb Freq would run 2900-3000 Mhz for some benches

AMD can make quite high memory clock for benchmarks but it's almost never fully stable above ~2133. Harder is to set high CPU-NB clock and without it high memory clock is pointless.
My FX8320 also needed something like 1.35V for 2600 CPU-NB for daily stable work and it was almost max clock regardless of voltage. FX8120 was slightly better than the 8320. For benching 2600+ memory clock wasn't an issue but best results were at something like 2400 CL7.

My 8350 was OK most benching was 26-2800, it's my 9370 that's the sweetheart there. It'll run 3000 with 1.35 v and I've benched up to 3150+ on water with up to 1.45v. Normal clock of 2600 is 1.25v and pretty stable. Had the 8320 up to 3550 during my last cold session, too bad the CPU just didn't want to go.

Oh yeah, I'll definitely have to give this a shot over the holiday weekend. :D

Have at er Doc, just don't wait too long. Ends Sunday at midnight EST.

Is it me or does McCoy in McCoys avatar look like he's hold up a tube of thermal paste. :D

Nice, and RMA that actually went through !

Thought I would run this on the grinder while waiting for the turkey to cook :)

Sorry

I'm actually surprised it scored so low for 12 threads Witchy. I would have thought it would score better.

yea, that is pretty on par for those chips.

Works great for a gaming CPU, less than stellar for benching :(

Nice run devlos, looks like those hyper threads really don't add a whole lot to this bench. They do but not as much as one might think.

My RIVE finished in my daily rig too. Too good stuff to sell it for half price.

Agreed, I just can't see selling it off for cheap. I have a Biostar x79 for backup and I couldn't wait to get it out of my machine.

This was my third RIVE RMA and I've never been denied. This one was a quick turn, they received my board on 11/19 and I got the replacement on 11/26.

Still tuning it in for daily use, this CPU sips the volts.
