Splinter Cell Blacklist on 2560x1080 res

I don't know if anyone here has this game and running it on ultra wide monitor but it doesn't seem to run properly for me. It has the resolution supported under the setting but no matter what I do it keeps running with black side bars on the sides of the screen (16:19 I think).

Anyone have any suggestions?

What cable are you using to connect the card to the monitor? IIRC, DVI-i has 1920 pixel wide resolution limit (@60Hz). If you're not using a full dual-link DVI-d cable, then your resolution will be limited.
