I want to buy the AMD FX-9370 processor with the Crosshairs V Formula Z motherboard and the GTX780 graphics card. Will they work with a Corsair CX750 power supply and will all fit the Corsair SPEC-01 case ? Also do you have any more advices on better parts to change or add to the build ?

Thanks.

For a gaming PC, this CPU is far from the best choice.

You'd better grab a 4790k.

FX are power monsters, need at least an AIO cooler and are usually on par with a stock 3.4GHz i5, or even i3 for gaming.

Check some of those benchmarks and you 'll get my point:

I'd go with a GTX970 instead of a 780, even if it's a few more bucks.

And grab a 650W EVGA Supernove PSU if you go Intel: it's enough for the overclocked CPU and a couple of GTX970's, OC'ed as well.

Here is the whole system and all parts I want to buy, Will they all go together good:

CPU: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KPRWAX8
PSU: http://amzn.com/B008RJZQSW
RAM: http://amzn.com/B00J8E92I0
GPU: http://amzn.com/B00NN0GIA0
HDD: http://amzn.com/B008JJLW4M
BT-USB: http://amzn.com/B00AY1K50U + Internal PCI-E to USB

USB3: http://amzn.com/B005ARQV6U
3xFAN: http://r.ebay.com/ruRuxo
PC Tower: http://amzn.com/B00I6BJATW

Anything left to add, remove, change or doesn't work good together ?

Yep, looks OK.

Why more USB3? Don't you have enough with the 6 on the board plus the ones on the case?

I'd go EVGA SuperNova G2 650 and Asrock z97 Extreme6.

The ex6 has jumped in price about 50 dollars putting it outside the bang/buck range and making boards like the ASUS Z97-A more attractive. I dont know what happened with the ex6 maybe it was so popular that they decided to start ripping people off for it.

I agree with my pink team friend. Get an Intel system.

No it hasn't, it's $145 on Newegg right now. The Z97 Extreme4 or Extreme6 are still a MUCH better board than a Z97-A.

It was showing up at $200 on PCpartpicker a day ago. Yes they are better than the Z97-A. The Ex4 only ever so slightly. I'd almost take the Z97-A over it for the Q connectors so I don't hurt my delicate digits hooking up the FP connectors.

Sure you weren't looking at the model with WiFi and Bluetooth?

Also, I'm not sure how the Extreme4 is only slightly better than the Z97-A.
It's slightly cheaper, it has more PCIe slots, it has more SATA ports, more USB3 ports, and a more robust power section.

In my book that's a landslide toward the Extreme4.

And will all the parts that I wrote here work together ?

Will this Power Supply work with all the parts and a few extra fans and LEDs that I will add later ?

Thanks.

Would you do us all a favor, lennonsan, and post the actual NAMES of the parts, instead of links? I don't feel like clicking through 12 links to see what your parts are and neither will anybody else, though some may do it out of kindness. Just makes life easier for everybody.

Oh Sorry,
I thought that the links would help, Anyway, Here is the list and it's again updated from when I posted the links:
MB: ASRock Z97 EXTREME4 (Can't decide yet If the EXTREME6 is worth 22$ more)
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K
PSU: Corsair CX750 (Is is enough power ? and is it worth to add for the CX750M modular one ?)
RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM
GPU: Zotac GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5
HDD: WD Green 2 TB
BT-USB: Belkin F8T065tt Mini Bluetooth 4.0 USB + Internal PCI-E to USB
WIFI: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800
USB3: Anker Uspeed USB 3.0 PCI-E Express Card with 4 USB 3.0 Ports
3xFAN: Regular/OEM fans with red LEDs (So they look nice with the Case)
HDMI-S: Etekcity 3x1 HDMI Switcher Box
USB-S: Plugable USB 2.0 Switch (I may take the USB 3.0, but still not sure If needed)
CPU FAN: Cooler Master V8 GTS
2xBD-ROM: LG UH12NS30 12X SATA Blu-ray Combo Drive
PC TOWER: Corsair SPEC-01 (Already bought it)

Thanks!

PSU: Seasonic G-550
HDD: Go with a WD Blue or Black since you have no other drive. An OS on a WD Green sucks.
RAM: Check the G.SKILL Ares 2x4GB 2133MHz CL9

Two Blu-ray drives?? Why?

Do you really need more USB 3.0 ports than the Extreme4 or Extreme6 give????

For the Bluetooth/Wifi, check out the Z97 Extreme6/ac. It has Bluetooth and Wifi built in.

Are you sure that 550W will be enough ? Will the CX750 or CX750M work with the parts ? I also need 8GB of RAM as one because I want to upgrade later on. Two Blu-Rays because I need to duplicate Blu-Ray drives on the air.

550W is overkill.

The motherboard has four RAM slots. Get two sticks now, two sticks later.
You don't want to run single channel and bottleneck the system.

I want eventually to have 32GBs of RAM. But you didn't tell me if the CX750 works, I know that I need at least 650W because I had already problems in the past with 550W on a much older system.
Can putting too much make problems or it just won't use the extra Wattage ?

I'm telling you right now that you'll have extra wattage with a Seasonic G-550.
Just because you had problems in the past doesn't mean a lot. It could have been under sized for the system, it could have been a crap brand, it could have been a faulty unit.

Well, whatever you get, buy two sticks of RAM right now.
You NEED dual channel or the system will bottleneck. Badly.

Can you please answer though if the CX650 or CX750 would work If I already have it ?
