Can't change GTA4 resolution with new GTX980

I cant change resolu tion or other display settings in this game with my 980. WIth the old 580 I could. I'm stuck at 800X600 low settigs. I try to move the slider up and it instantly goes back. Wont let me change a thing. Just reinstalled so I have the latest version from Steam. What's going on?

Issue resolved. Oddly, performance in this game still sux even with a 980. Is it SO badly optimized? A LITTLE better than my 580 but not flying by any means.

GTA is heavy on the cpu...

gta4 was a bad port to PC by rockstar. I wouldn't be surprised if it still doesn't run really well.
