I just built my mom an AM1 5150 based rig. The video performance in full screen is choppy for the first few seconds, then smooths out, but never becomes completely smooth. Is there some setting somewhere that I'm missing?
It should be able to handle 1080p streaming video smoothly shouldn't it?

Doubtful it'll break 30fps, but you can still try.
Why not put a 750 in there and be able to run 1080p with good frames?

gotta pay to play. shoulda went with an apu instead.

Its my moms PC. She'll never accept over $100 for a GPU its not worth it to her. Plus I need the slot for the wifi card.

That's why I said 750, not 750Ti.
Should've bought a board with Wi-Fi built in on mITX, honestly.

Meh. Should've. Didn't. Never foresaw the need for a graphics card. 5150s are weak CPUs. Adding a GPU would be silly anyways.

So, what I'm hearing, is you should've at least went with the A6 that we said was stronger in one of your other threads today?

come to think of it my first fiance played this on a 8400GS PCI card. (non pcie) so idk might not be too bad.
