FM1 is the same as FM2 and FM2+. Which is the same as AM3/AM3+ etc.

AM1 has the two pins you mentioned.
 
I should have had my coffee first before interacting with this thread this morning. "A" is not the same as "F". And maybe a new pair of eye glasses would be in order too.

No, AM3/AM3+/FM1/FM2/FM2+ is all the same.
AM1 is different.
 
I kept seeing "FM1" instead of "AM1". My mind's eye was playing tricks on me.
 
I've already given you my opinion that it is defective and you should take it back. You could even take the whole box to them and demonstrate the problem.
