I have an Asus P5VD2-MX motherboard with a Windows 7 x64 OS. I know it doesn't officially support Windows 7 but I really don't want to go all the way to XP again... I've managed to get the onboard graphics driver but not the sound driver (there is one installed but it's not working).. Any suggestions??

Onboard graphics... are you using HDMI for that? Could be you have the wrong audio device set as default for sound output and/or the volume set too low.

Nope no HDMI... There's only one option to set as default and I tested it with the volume at 100%... I get white noise at the front jack but nothing at the back
