Best monitor?

Hi, I'm planning to buy a gaming monitor but I'm very confused on specs and which is the best choice. I don't know which has the best 'contrast ratio'... what does that mean? I want a monitor with really nice colours and an overall nice display, which do u prefer from the four listed below? Thanks

To answer bluntly, "gaming" monitors are normally nick'd to those with 120Hz or 144Hz refresh rates. Tack $100 ontop of those prices and you can buy a BenQ XL2411Z or ASUS VG248QE.

Now, between those monitors you posted, I would get the ASUS. In that segment the ASUS panels tend to offer better colors.

Those 2ms panels are most likely TN and they trade off some color fidelity vs the slower 5ms IPS monitors. If you game and need the speed, go for the faster refresh times. IPS is great for everything else.
