Noticed something strange when dinking around in the BIOS.

My ram ->

G skill Sniper 4gb x2

F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR

CL 9 - 9 -24 1.5v

Or so It should be. My ram is defaulting to 1800 mhz (not 1866, precisely 1800 in bios) cl 11-11-28.

Whats up with that? CPU-Z is indicating 902.9mhz, 11-11-28 in the memory tab.

1) This is with the STOCK multiplier!
2) Yes I've reseated them
3) No, its not a huge deal.

edit: seems my 4.5 overclock sets the ram at 1800, but it wont go to the stock 1600 cl9 setting. I set the OC back and set the ram to 1800 cl9, seems to working fine.

Did you use the BCLK to OC at all?

This was going back to stock default settings in the BIOS. It read 1800mhz in the bios. Doesn't seem feasible now that I think about it... glitch in the bios? It reads my updated ram speeds fine now, just the defaults are weird.

Bob see if the board is setting the FSB to 216 when you go to default, I know my Asus M5A99X Evo does that. Though that would only be giving you 1728 Mhz not 1800 Mhz.
