I have two unused win 8 pro keys and I'd like to add one to my current Win 8.1 install...is this possible with some sort of trickery?

That won't help....win 8 pro key...already running the 8.1 vanilla that came with the laptop. Apparently there's no way to convert the key or use it to unlock the pro features unless you do a full reinstall.

Did you try to doing a search on your computer for
Windows Anytime Upgrade
and that should lead to
Get more features with a new edition of Windows
which should prompt for a new key and new features to be installed.

Yes actually I did but that doesn't work because it's a windows 8 pro key and I'm running 8.1. I was asking if there was a way to use the win 8 pro key I had without doing a complete reinstall.
