I'll put this here. Hope to see you all there. :)

Classic Platform’s 2015 Spring Classic

The competition is open to all interested, the challenge is to use both AMD & Intel CPUs with long established benchmarks, possibly winning a prize or two, hopefully having a little fun and definitely meeting like minded benchers.

Overall, AMD + Intel each bench will have an Intel and AMD submission for a minimum total of ten, sum of the five best AMD and Intel submissions determines bencher’s ranking / placement.

Just had a read through, there's quite a list of prizes there

I'll see what I can come up with Scotty. Busy time for me over the next few weeks. Have to get Montreal out of the way before I can concentrate on anything else.

It's more about fun and comradery than anything else. ;)
Not much different than your marathon's. If internet beers were possible, we'd be doing that too. :D

Looks like I might be in after all. Found an X2 6000+ should be windsor by the numbers and I have at least 1 intel at home an e2180

ohhhhhhh this is gonna be sooooo goooood. I don't even want any of the prizes lol. Just hope to get enough time to compete!

Bring it!

I'll use sig rig yo. ;)

This looks like a fun competition. I have E6600 & X6800 Conroe's, but I don't have any AMD stuff. :(

I can confirm it is. Cuz it kicks the snot outta mine on the bot. LOL

I may throw some subs in the comp. I don't have any 775/771 stuff so no way to win, but I'm here for the beer anyhow.

HAH!! Don't feel bad. I have plenty of AMD stuff, and one s775 board and a celeron D. Woopty Doodah!

But here's the chip that I plan to bench the snot out of. Got it all cleaned up, ready for the Dice pot. If the results aren't good enough... ln2.

Pretty sure it's the one in his sig blaylock. I checked the 6000+ pretty carefully to make sure it was a Windsor and not a Brisbane. The windors tend to clock better.
Which CPU were you referring to Blaylock, your looks like a Windsor. Maybe just the luck of the draw or heat holding you back

Yeah mines a Windsor(here), but doesn't clock well. It's a lottery thing although I haven't dropped it into my Giga 790FX-UD4P. I don't expect it'll do any better that the ASUS did.

EDIT: I apologize Johan, I was mixing up your 3800+

You're only on air too. Those top spots were LN2/SS/ Dice

I'm looking forward to this.

Really glad a lot of you guys are interested! Just keep in mind that cooling is only one small part of getting a good or perhaps great benchmarking time. You and I will have issues if we don't spend time tweaking the stripped OS and Ram .... hint hint.

This looks mmm mmm good! Love 775 and been looking forward to getting back to some 939 action.

Also, any of you guys that aren't already reg'ed at CP, please do so. I'll take care of everything and waive all the noob security crap to make you regular members right away. Any problems at all, please PM me. :)
