Using an HD 7970 XFX water block on a XFX R9 280x

Hey.
I wonder if anyone knows if it is posible to reuse the water block for the HD 7970 XFX version on the XFX R9 280x? I know that it is posible for some of the ASUS specific cards.
Or does anyone know if it is posible to use the standard referance Radeon R9 280x on the XFX version?

Check with Coolingconfigurator to see what GPU block is compatible with your 280x and possibly call up EK to see if you can reuse your 7970 GPU block on your 280x.

I have already checked Coolingconfigutator, it does not list any fullcovers only universal vga parts. Might call EK.
I'm not water cooling my system yet, I am just looking in to the posibility of it.

If there's no WB than there's no WB for it.

To be 100%, a simple call or e-mail to EK could resolve this fairly quickly.
