Have you checked the minimum specs of Sims 3 that could help?

but I'm sure that 3gb of discrete graphics power on a laptop can run Sims 3 on maybe medium to high settings although if you need proof of that you'd need to do a bit of research on YouTube etc, otherwise the laptop spec seem very gaming oriented which looks good on paper.

Yeah I've been looking at it on steam. I'd rather not blow $20 on something that is just gonna rest in my library.

Yeah trust me that it will run definitely will as sims don't require massive specs on a computer to run so it should be fine! I'd have to recommended a different laptop though because you might get in trouble playing the latest games with that, maybe you should try and see if you can save up to a Asus g551jm
