Need advice building a $1200-to-$1500 Gaming PC (Steam)

Hey guys I am in need for advice, going to be building a gaming machine for a friend. was wondering what you guys though would be a good build for $1200-to-$1500 max. I want to have a 980 or CF290 or 290X GPU and PSU EVGA SuperNova since I am happy with mine. lol Note this PC will be connected to a 60" inch TV via HDMI.

Need the following; CPU,Ram,Mobo,GPU,PSU, and Case. Thanks!

I'd be looking at a 4690K and GTX 970 based system.

I see, is it possible to build a XFX 295x2 system for $1500?

For 1080p it would be a waste and you'll need a bigger Psu
