Using ASRock Extreme6 with the Gskill Ares RAM. Rest of build is black / white. Can anyone tell or does anyone know if this blue: http://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fc980-gtx-backplate-blue.html would be the same or similar enough to match while viewed under white LEDs?

I realize I may need to order it on faith and hope the hue is close. And, after chatting with Woomack, I may forego the backplate altogether as it may not be as needed as I initially thought.

Thank you!

The back plate is a little more bluish than the mobo but it should be ok.
However if you're so picky, than order the back plate and use paint remover to remove the paint and go to the store and find the paint that match your motherboard.

That's a great point. Going to contact EK today and see if it's possible to get a bare metal backplate. Doubt it, but asking the question will take less time than removing the paint.

Thank you for the idea!

Use medium grit sand paper, sand it a little bit, spray a coat of primer and than paint it

Yeah, the backplate looks a bit lighter of a blue than the MB, from the look of the pictures.
