Now, I haven't paid too much attention to the cell phone/smart phone market lately. So, I don't really know what phones on the market are worth looking into.
Had my current phone close to five years now (or thereabouts), and I've just not bothered to upgrade since my current phone (Nokia E71x) just "works" and fits my needs (for the most part). And frankly it's the first phone I've owned that wasn't falling apart within 2-3 years of buying it, this one has held up quite well. My current phone is running on some version of the Symbian OS. But I have as of late began to wonder what new phones were out there, and what technologies I might be missing out on.
Now, nearly all of the phones I've owned to this point have been Nokia phones, aside from one Motorola I had that was absolutely terrible (after which I immediately went back to Nokia). But I've come to the realization that Nokia apparently has a lot less market share now (and less products in general) than they did five years ago when I purchased my current phone. So, I know I'll probably have to go with something other than Nokia.
I have tried out some iPhones that friends and relatives have had (3GS, 4, 5), and they seemed reasonably easy to operate overall.
I've not had any experience with an Android phone yet, so don't know what they're like. But I do have one friend that's had two or three of them now and says he's loved his Android phones.
So, I guess my overall question is what brands and models of phones should I be looking at or considering to be my new one?
