Cutting Cable TV... need OTA TV advise

I have a couple amplifiers. Cheap ones tho. One that came from a Terk antenna, and slightly better one that came with my Antennasdirect Micron.

That said, I may likely end up making my own amplifier, as a project.

I do wish that the majority of channels in my area were not either spanish language or church related...they are like half of whats available lol.
But I get PBS, so This Old House/all the woodworking shows.

I second the HDHomerun idea. I have one and it is fantastic. You can put it anywhere you have cat5e, antenna connection, and power. Really, you might be able to get away with a powerline adapter for a net connection if you find a good one. The only problem is HDHomerun is not seamless with roku.
