hey guys, someone gave me there Inspiron 1525 laptop for free and im wanting to max it out. its currently got a T5800 (2.0ghz Core 2 Duo 800FSB). Believe its a Socket P even tho I can find proof of a Socket P T5800 exists. im wondering if possibly a T9900 (3.06ghz Core 2 Duo 1066FSB) would be swappable into it but my concern is if the higher FSB will let it work or not. if not then any recommendations for a CPU?

T8300 was the max officially supported.
T9500 should work no problem.

the T8300 wouldn't be bad upgrade. extra .4ghz for less than 15$ on ebay. the T9500 tho being $60ish might not be worth it as much.

so going with the T9900 seems out of the question? would be nice cause its only $60ish and would be alot faster

went ahead and did the T8300. got it on Ebay for 13$ which is awesome for an additional .4ghz upgrade. that's like 20% faster for 13$. makes it run much better with W7. wish my truck was that easy to upgrade
