Hello all,

This is my first loop. I got all the Ek stuff, two Rads, cpu block, combo d5 pump, 2 980gtx blocks and back plates. along with that I gots the uber primochill RED. First, I got the wrong size because the package was marked wrong. It was so tight to put over my barbs. So I waited another week and got the correct size.

I still think it's too tight. Is the tubing supposed to be hard to put on the barbs? Im afraid to break stuff trying to install this tubing.

if there is any other tube you guys recommend I would like to get some before I start builing.

Thanks,
S.

I am more familiar with getting the same size tubing and fittings. I couldn't tell you if you could buy a tad bigger size and have a nice tight fit like you would now. I use 1/2" x 3/4" on fittings and tubing and its very tight. I sometimes use a fitting outside of the loop to loosen the tubing a bit before I attempt to put it on a fitting that's already installed. Be careful when doing so, so you won't put too much stress on the threads, etc.

Yep, those are matching sizes, but it's still tough to put on.

Here's a tip: dip the tip of the tubing you're about to put on in hot water and optionally (and carefully!) use a pair of needle nose pliers to slightly stretch out the end of the tubing from the inside. It'll make it easier to install, but the tubing will shrink back to it's normal size once it's been installed.
