Watts per channel?

I am going to be using a Lamptron FC2 controller that states it handles up to 45w per channel. Using Corsair fans 12v DC 0.25A.
How do I find out how many fans can be run on each of the 6 channels?

Voltage times amperage equals wattage.

12v * 0.25A = 3 watts

With that example, you could fit 15 fans per channel or 90 fans on the whole controller. Seems excessive.
