I would doubt it's real. New AMD cards aren't even out yet.

390x has been on the market for a couple weeks now.

Hmm...thought the new cards we coming out ending of June. How about that. Looks like I'm gonna have to investigate this 290x/390x flashing. I'm always down for a good flashing

Checking around and success rates are very slim aside from firestrike scores increasing 1-1.3% . Still too soon to tell.

I saw comments that after flashing, card is working but memory in crashing in 3D. It can be accurate as memory profiles are saved in BIOS and 390X has higher density chips so different IC and different memory timings.
