Can I install this LGGA 771 CPU to LGA 775 motherboard without sticker mod?

Just curious, can anyone tell me what would happen if I put this CPU to LGA 775 platform without the sticker mod?

My guess is that it simply wouldn't boot.

No, some (two I believe) of the electrical contacts on the bottom of the CPU are reversed, so it wouldn't work without the adapter.

Yo do realize that 771 will not just drop into 775 don't you? The sticker isn't the only mod you need to do.

Then what should I do other than putting sticker on the contact pins of the LGA 771 Chip?
