Tried hard reset (all power sources disconnected - hold power button), tried factory reset.

Only some keys do not work.


Connected a bluetooth keyboard and it works.
Booted from an imaging USB stick and still the same keys will not work on laptop keyboard...
 
Sounds like the keyboard is either dead or only partially plugged in. I would remove the keyboard, unplug it, plug it back in and try again. If that doesn't work, time to replace the keyboard.
 
Gateway NV55S02u, old and in bad shape (not mine).

Any service manuals showing how to get to the keyboard cable?
 
Haven't even looked at pictures, but there are probably a few screws on the bottom to remove, and it will slide out. Almost every laptop I've worked on is like that.
