Employees of Frozen should band together, buy company from owner.
As reputation is shot, shouldn't be as expensive a buyout.

Owner would have to be an idiot not to sell......................never mind, he's already an idiot, his wife would have to be an idiot not to insist upon him selling.

Wanna bet?
His wife is an 'escort'. She makes more than he does.

hehe, Preferred brands are a good thing to look for in a company, but I'm more interested in customer service.
I would gladly pay more for something, or even switch to different equipment, if the supplier goes out of their way to make the customer experience a good one.
Know what I mean?

and YAY for the site being back up.

If I understand correctly ModMyMods is the former Frozen CPU employees. You know the guys/gals that made FCPU a great company to deal with. I'd be willing to bet their CS is going to be fantastic just like FCPU's was before the major blow-out.

I just don't thing they have the capitol to bring in the major players yet.

Not sure how that works, but would hope they at least reach out to those companies.
The suppliers likely know that FCPU's downfall was not the employees fault, and may be willing to work with the new company, who knows.

I mean, how much of the running of the company did The Incredibley Addicted Hulk do? Was he just the Owner, or was he doing day to day operations?

I've never ordered or dealt directly with FCPU, they never seemed to have close to the best deals/prices, and I loathed their site layout.

PPC's was my most frequented that is still around I think, and I miss Petra's Tech Shop. I know they are now Sidewinder, but I miss the little hand-written notes with each order. :(

Well, the company and owner have been having ongoing issues since last December from what I heard. And it doesn't look to end any time soon based upon how hard he's trying to cover everything up. Every time anyone posts anything negative on the company's Facebook page it gets removed within a few hours usually (or a few days at most).

And any claims of bad goings on in the company are either denied or outright ignored by the owner.

Actual updates on the website seem to be sporadic at best. They had the same message up on the site at the bottom for like four months before they changed it. Don't know if they even have a web design employee, or if the owner is "handling" that himself.

Shame, the business seemed to be back up and functioning normally there for a month or two, then the owner pulls another stunt and fails to pay his staff.

LOL, sounds like a local anime/manga store here in San Antonio, called Ooples. Used to know the owner.....was an anime club here in town, he stole the funds from the treasury, started his business........used minors for free labor giving them "store credit" as payment..........anyone said anything bad about the store, he would end up calling the cops on them for trespassing......and do the usual get people who liked him to do mass posts on yelp, even if they had never been to the store lol.

Gotta love egotistical storeowners.

Yes, though they are not the leaders of the industry.

I dont mind supporting the little guy, but I have no interest in buying crap either. Cant find much on these 2 companies (I have a sneaking suspicion they are 1 in the same), so Im just unsure about it all.

Are these brands that modmymods carry "legit"? Ive never heard of them?

All legit, and it looks like they brought up the possibility of selling Akasa products in their poll, which would be awesome for U.S buyers since Akasa is something you have to bring in from Europe or elsewhere. They make the best uv light bars, Sunbeam and all the other crap we can get here are just utter garbage that emit a strong purple light (you don't want that in a uv light).

they do seem to like Phoyba stuff......

hrmm, likely gonna stick to Jameco.com for fan grills and bulk wire. .89USD per foot is a bit pricey for 18awg.
plus, getting a basic metal fan guard for 1.09USD each, 10+ @ .99USD each, and so on.

Love bulk discounts
