Minimal CPU/ GPU setup for 5760x1080 Ultra Gaming at 60fps

What is needed to run 3 28" 1920x1080 ASUS monitors at 5760x1080 with playable framerates on the most popular game titles BF4/BFH/Witcher and such?

Intel or AMD cpu's and GPU's


Figured someone here would have an exact answer to this question as I have no clue.

Define "playable frame rates", 30 ? 60 ? 120 ? 144 ?

My 2x titans do around 80 FPS in BF4 on ultra at that res

around 75 FPS on Grid Autosport

for newer games thinking 2x 980 Ti's for witcher 3

My gamer is a 3930K 6c 12t at 4.7 ghz

seems to be plenty, not an advocate of 4c 4t gaming for future titles although project cars does well on 4c 4t CPU's

BF4 runs around 84 FPS on the 980Ti...


NOt sure about the other games as we do not test them. Your best bet is to google some reviews and see. But for the most part, depending on what you call playable frame rates as Kenroumentioned.

If you need two cards, an AMD CPU, to me, shouldn't be in the cards as it puts a glass ceiling on FPS in many cases. Intel allows the cards to stretch their legs more.
