Hi,

I am over-clocking my Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X core 1124 MHz memory 1375 MHz power limit +20 and VDDC 1200 to 1231 in Sapphire Trixx v4.6.0. I have HWinfo 64 running minimised and notice that VDDC never goes above 1.188v on the gpu core regardless of a higher VDDC setting in Trixx. Temps stay fine (core 75, vrm 1 and 2 at 68 and 75 degrees max respectively) but I do see some artifacts in Metal Gear Solid 5 - The Phantom Pain. Is there a limitation that will not allow more that 1.188 v on these cards?

Thanks
Haider

Try the modded Trixx 4.4.0.

It allows vRAM voltage increase (up to 1.7v) and VDCC increase to 1.4v.

Keep your temps in check (I killed one 7970 with it...).

Edit: Vdroop is HUGE on these cards! That's why you top up at 1.2v on load. Try the 1.4v, you should end up around 1.3 and you'll be safe.
