Hey all, I have the original Nexus 7 and I'm looking for an upgrade. There seems to be some sales on for Android tablets but I also can't seem to find a good list of Android Tablets. Even going to a manufacturers website it's hard to tell if it's a newer tablet or older one. I don't need flagship, my old Nexus would probably be fast enough if it wasn't for that damn faulty storage that has reared it's head. I'm looking at 7"-8", the Lenovo Yoga 2 8" seems like a possible good fit or it might be weird, I can't decide.

I still use the original N7 with no issues, but if I was looking for a 9", I would get the Nexus 9... http://www.amazon.com/Google-Nexus-Tablet-8-9-Inch-Black/dp/B00M6UC5B4 for $300.

If 6" was enough I would get a Nexus 6 for $300 (No tax or shipping) off Ebay right now. http://deals.ebay.com/5002286344/?_trksid=p2050601.m1256&_trkparms=&clkid=356158799985555682
I am not much of a tablet person tho...

The last time I checked processors were topping out around 1.5ghz on a quad core. After that its pic features, like what kind of screen, how muc ram, NFC etc. Sorry I dont have a real suggestion for you, but maybe if your pin down what you want out of a tablet then you can search better. But the fact is the Nexus tablets are pretty nice and I dont know that you'll find a smoother/better user experience on any other device. Nexus devices ahave always set the standard for vanilla android.

The large difference between an expensive tablet and a cheaper tablet is mostly the screen. A snapdragon or A8 processor wont vary from system to sytem (these are on most tablets, even the "cheap" ones). Ram is likely to be LPDDR3 without much speed difference, if any.

I have an asus zenpad 10, and I love it personally. great screen quality, and the build feels top notch. They do make smaller sizes though ofc.

for 99$ this is gonna be really difficult to beat imo.
