any practical difference between the i5 6200u and the i7 6500u?

Any real practical difference between the two? They look nearly identical minus a couple mhz and 1mb cache, but the price difference between comparable laptops with the i5 vs the i7 seem to suggest other wise?

edit: for that matter, lets throw in the i3 6100H/U while we're at it...

Not much and I'm surprised by that just based on the nomenclature. There is a slight bump in speed from 2.8 compared to 3.1 and there is a little more L3 cache in the i7.

I don't think that I would pay the extra $100 for that slight a difference.

Yeah! On paper they are all EXTREMELY similar bjt severely disproportionate pricing suggest something else is in the mix.
