800 ram w/ 933 xmp?

what might cause my system to show an xmp for 933 for ram that is 800?
it shows this in the bios also.

There's nothing wrong.
Many many memories do this. It's just what's programmed into the SPD of the ram.
 
You can see 933MHz/1866 XMP profile probably because your memory is 933MHz/1866 - PN: F3-14900CL9-4GBSR / 8GBSR in dual channel kit :)
 
:facepalm:crap, sucks when you can't remember what you put in the thing, I thought that I had put my 1600 in this one.........:screwy:
