Hey everyone, i'm new here and I have a couple questions when it comes to overclocking my AMD FX-4350 CPU. Honestly i have no idea what i am doing and I've looked online but haven't been able to find a solid tutorial explaining the overclocking process with my initial specs that I own. Can someone please help me out i really wanna know what i should do! thank you so much for any advice and or support.

Computer Parts:
CPU: AMD FX 4350
GPU: MSI GTX 960 Gaming Edition
Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming Edition
Ram: 2x G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL
Cooling for all components: Stock
Case cooling: 1 stock big side fan, 1 stock case fan in the front, 1 stock case fan in the back

Any guidance in the right direction is much appreciated. Thank you everyone
 
There's a few real good guides kicking around this forum but you will not find one that uses your own equipment specifically. You will have to adapt a guide to your equipment if you plan to OC your gear. Keep in mind if you are just using stock cooling you will be greatly limited in any OC on your system.

That's quite a bit of reading you're linking there....


The fundamentals are going to be the same for any FX cpu, although it can be a little daunting when you can't find a guide with your chip and/or board. Be patient and take your time. If you really want help, you're going to need a few things. Prime95, HWMonitor, CPUz, and lots of screen shots.

Before you start overclocking the Cpu you're going to need and aftermarket heatsink.
