I just ordered a bunch of things to update my cooling setup and was looking at a new PSU as well. I see great things about the EVGA psu's on all the reviews so I was looking there. Not sure of which to go with though, between different watts, the series (g2,gs,gq) and the prices associated. Rig is in sig, will replace the 970 for next gen but probably stick to 2 card, no more. System probably won't get upgraded until Cannonlake, maye see skylake but not sure at this tme. Either way I think it will be a safe bet to go at least 850w.
For instance from Amazon;
750w G2- $99.99
750w GQ- $79.99
750w P2- $119.99
850w G2- $119.99
850w GS- $124.99
850w GQ- $108.95
850w P2- $139.99
1000w G2- $166.97
1000w GQ- $112.49
1050w GS- $143.99
1000w P2- $199.99
I know all are gold rated, and reviews from johnyguru have the G2 and GS pretty much tied if I remember correctly. The GQ being good but not great. So as far as the G2 and GS goes, any reason to go with one or the other?
